Spunlace production
In 2007 Avangard Company started its first nonwoven production line that allowed producing Spunlace with maximum width of 1.10 m.
As of December 2008 it was the only line in Russian Federation that allowed manufacturing Spunlace for hygienic products. That is due to the production technology of consolidating fibers in a web by hydroentanglement (Spunlacing). The method uses high-speed jets of water to strike a web so that the fibers knot about one another. As a result, there is no risk, unlike with needlepunching method, that metal needles would remain in the fabric. Besides the hydroentanglemen method doesn’t require the use of low-melting synthetic fibers that are always used in thermobonding method.
In 2007 Avangard Company started to use nonwoven materials for wet wipes production and after a while began to sell Spunlace nonwoven materials as well.
In May 2008 Avangard made a contract of purchase of the second Technological line for Spunlace nonwoven material of varying density and maximum working width of 2.6 m. with French Conmany Rieter Perfojet.
As of December 2008 the main construction stages of the workshops for the second line were completed and it is safe to say that in April 2009 the line will be ready for the start-up. The estimated volume of output is more than 500 tons per month of sanitary nonwoven material, density - 40g/m, width – 2.6m. These numbers suggest that Avangard Company is the leader in the industry and is capable to fully satisfy the needs of it’s Partners by providing high quality nonwoven materials.
